  • Clear Bra - corrections and maintenance

The clear bra on my car is showing signs of abuse from a variety of normal daily driver wear and tear incidents, such as ice storms and 70 mph bug collisions. I managed to pass a salt truck the other day and could hear the blessed pellets bouncing off the car.

On another forum I read, "several more passes using Powerfinish with a tangerine cutting pad" to improve the appearance of a clear bra.

I believe, could be wrong, Meguiar's doesn't have a product specifically recommended for clear bra corrections or maintenance.

I would be interested in products and procedures the wise ones on this forum use for clear bras. I've seen clear bras in many of your detailing photos, but rarely any discussion of what you have used to lessen the appearance of normal wear and tear scratches, swirls or abrasions on a clear bra.

    Thanks,

Re: Clear Bra - corrections and maintenance

I've cleaned up a lower panel clear bra on a Porsche using 205 and a polishing pad then a finishing pad to jewel the finish as it marred a bit on the first go aroud
Go with your least agreasive product... I actually may try it by hand next time as it can generally speaking be soft
