Why is it that evey bottle I get of the Ultimate Detailer never works? This is causing me not to by it anymore. I love the product but if I'm paying for the packaging I want it to work. I've bought like over 15 bottles and 13 of them do not work properly, they either leak at the handle or platic straw inside is no good.

Re: Ultimate Detailer Bottle issues
I had a leaky bottle once, I ended up buying a generic spry bottle and put the UD in it.
I did call Megs and they replaced the product. Certainly call, they will take care of it. But I still use my generic bottleAdam

Re: Ultimate Detailer Bottle issues
I pitched mine, couldnt see anything obvious but when you gave it a good shake (per instructions) the stuff would come out (leak) pretty good.
The lid was tight but with multiple parts in the sprayer head it could have been some mis-fit of a molded part.
I keep a few sprayer bottles around and had one with water in it so I dumped that and its now my UD bottle
No big issue for me, Meguiars stood behind their product 100%. If/when I go buy another Ill give it a shake before I buy it just in case .....Adam

Re: Ultimate Detailer Bottle issues
Four of the last 6 bottles if UQD have clogged up on me. I wind up transferring the UQD into a red bottle QD sprayer. I have moved on to the #135 gallon jugs and the generic Meg's spray bottles. I do like the smaller sized bottles for when I travel though.Jim

I have also run in to this problem before. What I did was a simple and quick fix. Just take the sprayer from a bottle that works, does not have to be the same product. And I have not run in to the problem since.Joel

Re: Ultimate Detailer Bottle issues
Damn, this just happened to me again and this marks my fifth sprayer failure. Sadly, I'm on the road and will have to find the ubiquitous Walmart and buy another. I sure hope Megs gets on top of this issue soon. I've tried dipping the sprayer head in hot water to try to open it up to no avail. Poking a fine wire in the nozzle doesn't open it up either. I'm out of tricks. In every case it seems like the nozzle has clogged. If one of the Megs engineers wants me to mail them the defective sprayer for testing or inspection let me know. I'd be more than happy to help resolve this issue.
FWIW, the products I take with on my travels are stored at 60°-80°F and in a padded bag. My travel kit:
I do use M135 when home and use the Meg's Pro bottles and sprayers with no issue. They are just to big to take with when I'm traveling.Jim

I haven't used any UQD lately (been doing full washes followed with UQW), but previously I found a piece of foam in the intake tube that hindered flow.
