  • Detailed my Flats Boat

Boat is a 2005 Palm Beach 151 that i've owned since new. It has only received regular washes after use and wax once a year.

The center console was showing signs of oxidation and there were noticeable stains showing on the hull from the stained water where i regularly fish. Decided last weekend that since its a good 2 months away before the weather permits some fishing that i would spend the down time and clean her up.

    Products Used:
    Megs Deep Crystal Wash
    Attwood Non-Skid Deck Cleaner
    APC+ 4:1
    Megs #49 Oxidation Remover
    Megs #45 Polish
    Megs #56 Pure Wax
    Megs All Metal Polish
    Mothers Power Ball
    PC7424XP

Dont have may before pics but some during. Washed to boat with Megs Deep Crystal Wash, scrubed inside deck with non-skid cleaner, then taped vinyl stripes.

I used the Megs #49 with an Orange Pad via PC7424XP, here's a 50/50 of console:

Sticker was just removed, top right area is the after.

    Rust Stain from straps before:

    After:

    50/50 of hull stain:

Stains on deck cleaned with APC+ 4:1 with stiff bristle brush:

    After:

50/50 of Diamond Plate fender. Cleaned with Megs Metal Polish and mother's power ball:

After Megs #49, followed up with Megs #45 Polish via PC7424XP on black finishing pad, followed by 2 coats of Megs #56 Pure Wax via PC7424XP with red pad.

    Finished Product:

My dad used to captain his boat out of Marathon ,FL.
The fishing was really wild! Tarpon, sailfish, grouper, bonefish, yellowtail snapper, spanish mackerel, redfish on and on.
        I think I got spoiled!!
Back country fishing was always one of my favorites.
We dont have much water up here, mostly ice, 26 degrees today.
        Happy Fishing!!
