Re: Ultimate Protection Trigger vs. M40
I'm not the resident expert on this product, however I have used Ultimate Protectant (liquid version) and M40 both and find that for long lasting protection UP lasts longer. This is especially true on exterior trim and moldings as they are exposed to the elements. But this product works best on already cleaned surfaces, so you'll have to use a cleaner product first.
The big difference as I see it is that M40 doubles as a pretty good cleaner as well as UV protectant all in one and is my choice for interior trim/vinyl surfaces.2019 Ford F-150 XLT SPORT 4X4 Ecoboost

Re: Ultimate Protection Trigger vs. M40
Strictly speaking about UV protection of one versus the other, especially on interior surfaces, we doubt you'd ever notice a difference. Exterior surfaces present a completely different set of challenges, specifically rain and washing, so a product that can actually bond to exterior vinyl and plastic will last longer - and that nod goes to Ultimate Protectant, whether the original lotion formula or the new trigger spray.
M40's big advantages are it's cleaning ability and availability in gallon packaging.Michael Stoops
