As long as you keep it thin, removing should still be easy in the morning (assuming the surface is clean also, like left indoors. Could end up with too much **** if left outside.). But you would not want to leave wax on any trim that long. (unless it is Ultimate Wax I guess).

Note the 'should'....

On the other hand, depending on the progress you are making, how many panels done, etc, you may want to wax everything at the end all at once if there is still plenty to do.

I am hooked. I felt that I was getting better correction, and a brighter paint after Ultimate compound vs SwirlX. So after washing and claying, I decided to do Ultimate compound, with which I didn't lose shine, but went ahead and did Ultimate Polish anyway, and then I finished with Ultimate Wax.

OK so here are the much awaited pictures! A few things though.

On the spoiler, the swirls did not come out for whatever reason. In the morning I will do some Ultimate Compound on there further and see if I can get it out. I don't know why it didn't come out, and why it came out of the rest of the car, but not there. Any ideas?

Second, I cleaned the windows, but obviously failed at it, I need to clean those again.

I will be applying some more Endurance Tire gel, but it seemed like it already lost it's shine.

Finally, I want to apply a second layer of wax which I will be apply in the morning. So it is still not all the way complete, but almost all the way.

And I am sure you guys have figured out that I ended out doing it all yesterday and today. My whole 2 week plan did not work out, but I skipped going to the gym for 3 days and managed my time a little better throughout the last few days to allow myself to be able to devote a couple entire days to my car. I think this worked out better!

I think wax got on the rag or something to clean the windows, they looked clean, but when I took it outside, they looked disgusting. I used Invisible Glass.

You can clay the windows as well.

Then give them a good cleaning with the glass cleaner. Then go back with just a little cleaner and wipe around.

And yeah, definitely clean cloths, etc.

What a fantastic transformation - the car looks great now! You did an awesome job on this, first time or not. Well done!!

Windows can be tricky and it comes down to a balance between using enough product to cut through the grime but not so much that it's self drying on the glass. Try this:

• Spray the glass cleaner on a portion of the glass and apply/wipe/work with a clean towel (terry or microfiber, makes little difference although you'll find staunch supporters for both types)
• Flip to the dry side of the towel, or grab a second clean, dry towel for a final wipe/buff of the glass. If need be, mist just a tiny amount of glass cleaner on the surface and then buff until dry
• Get into the corners or along edges with an almost dry towel to remove any light build up left behind
• Do your final wipe on the outside of the glass from side to side, and on the inside of the glass in an up and down motion. That way, if there is any streaking present, you can quickly tell which side of the glass it's on.
• Don't over use the product!!!!

Again, you did an outstanding job on the car - this thread is a keeper, that's for darn sure. It's quite rewarding for us to have a new user come on the forum, ask a ton of questions, do their research, and then put their new found knowledge to successful use. Great way to start a Friday!!
