I have tasked myself to detail my 53' Carver every year since it was new (1998). In the past I have been less than pleased with my ability (and it could be my ability) to restore the shine to the gel coat using the meguairs color restorer and oxydation remover.
This year I switched to the new one step compound #67 and was I every pleased. The shine is tremendous and the amount of work significantly decreased!
I use a rotary buffer set at about 1200 rpm with a 9inch 50/50 50% wool/ 50% poly pad, polishing until almost dry. I follow with meguiars boat polish and pure wax. The depth of the shine is spectacular. This product is a vast improvement. Great work!
