I been thinking about getting the Microfiber DA Correction System, after reading your post it seems like I ready don't need the Finishing Disc and D301. Should I just get a larger bottle of D300 and more Cutting Discs?

I just recently started using the DAMF system, and I have to say that I love it. It really produces great results. I would say that you do need the D301 unless you want finish with another type of AIO. The D300 won't leave any wax or protection, so you have to finish it with some sort of wax. In the few cars that I have used the system on so far, I find that the D300 does leave a little hazing, but the D301 takes care of it perfectly, so they go really well together. Another AIO might work too, but I haven't tried it, so can't attest to it.

As far as how much you'll need, it really is true that you don't need to use much product at all; a little really does go a long way - especially with the finishing wax. You'll probably go through D300 and the cutting discs faster that D301 and the finishing discs - or at least it seems like that will be the case for me.

I would suggest getting the sample kit and trying it all out as a complete system, and then experimenting with things like adding a different AIO wax, or even if you want to go all out you can follow the D300 with some sort of polish like M205 and then your favorite LSP. Just find what works best for you, but I'd start with the system since it was all made to work with each other.

When using the 105 on the M/F pad, how do prep the pad? Do you put product all over pad and two pea blobs or another way? Just curious.

If you're going to substitute M105 in place of D300 you should do everything the same as you would when using D300. Same tool speed of 4800 opm, same pressure, same arm speed, same priming of the pad first and then minimal use of product thereafter, and clean the pad after every section pass. You will experience more dusting with M105 than you will with D300, but you may see a bit more cut as well. As always, the paint itself is going to determine which liquid is the better choice, and in most cases we expect to see D300 being more than sufficient.

DA Compound is just a bit on the weaker side compared to M105. With this system, M105 turns out exceptional quality work! I'm working on a red Honda Civic Si right now, using M105 and the Microfiber pads. One single pass, and it at an excellent quality level!

To be honest, I'm a bit scared of this system I mean, now anyone has the potential to turn out top quality work, even the average do-it-yourselfer, in the garage at home. This system could be a curse for some of us instead of a blessing lol!

Hello Nick, so would you recommend using the DAMF 5" disc or 6" with 105/205 or would I be better off using the d300/d301 with the damf? Thanks in advance buddy.

Nick is doing well. He has just started a new chapter in his life this last week. He left his job of over 16 yrs at Southwest Airlines and struck out detailing full time on his own. He can be found posting often on his fb page. I'll tell him you were asking about him and see if he can stop by the forum and update everyone .
