I'm wondering how this product works. Is its chemisty like a sealant, paint coating or something else? As an Insurance Damage Appraiser I write to sand and buff lights when they are damaged as it's an approved repair process. But, in order for me to suggest a product to a shop, I need to know its durability parameters as they/we have to stand behind it with a limited warranty or else it's a sub-standard repair. Up until now shops have used a specialty clearcoat that lasts several years and returns the light to "pre-loss" or OEM specifications. Will the Meg's HL Protectant be able to do this? I'd love to start putting this product on my estimates and having shops use it.

Initially, no, but we hope to make it available as a stand alone later on.
About the protectant - it's been tested extensively in the lab, of course, and it offers literally thousands of hours of UV protection. It's super easy to apply, almost like applying a pure polish. Once applied you can definitely feel an improved slickness on the surface of the lens.
