Acrylic Lacquer Cutting and Polishing after Painting

Hi all, i'm a new member from New Zealand. 24 hours ago i finished painting my Nissan 200sx in gold lacquer, came out great for a home job. Went around the car 4-5 times spraying so should have atleast 4 good coats of lacquer. Didn't apply any clear coat as i am intending to cut and polish the lacquer to get the shine. My question is how long i should wait before i do this? The car isn't in a booth or anything just sitting in the garage. Any help would be great!
