  • Larry - from Ft Lauderdale

Just registered - certified "Car Nut" for over 50 years - use mostly Meguiar's products.

    Have owned a variety:

    69 Plymouth GTX
    74 Fiat X1/9
    308 GTS Ferrari
    63 Split-window Vette
    86 Vette Coupe
06 Vette Coupe (traded it off after only 5200 - LOUSY Auto Trans !!)
07 Mitsu Eclpise Spyder GT 6-spd manual
    07 Galant Ralliart (current)

A Windshield Scratch Removal "tip" - I just scratched mine using a Gas Station (Hess) squeegee while loading up on gas - was advised to try Jeweler's Rouge to take it out - finally ended up trying Cooktop Range Cleaner Polisher - which did the BEST.....

Guess I learned my lesson - and will NOT be using those Gas Station squeegees anymore !!

to TKDDAD Yes would definitely stay away from the new Vettes with Automatic. Mine never shifted right - no matter what "Mode" I put it in - was especially true of Downshifts - they were always "delayed" - Chevy said they "knew nothing" of this issue until one sharp mechanic working on the car told me that "crisp downshifts" would only happen if the Throttle Sensor was in WOT Position - so, in other words, you had to have your foot ON the gas when downshifting - try that in everyday traffic.

I traded it in right after this revelation. Beautiful to "look at" - absolutely frustrating to drive on the street - should have stuck to Manuals.

hey Mike - sent you an email from my gmail yesterday. Can't seem to get a reply on this website to my question.................have just used CleanerWax on my car (Black 2007 Galant Ralliart) that is outside all the time where I live in Fort Lauderdale - found out AFTER I bought the CleanerWax that ColorX (which I already had) was an "improved version" - still notice contaminant "feel" in the paint surface. Have clay barred before, but not this time. Do I now have to go thru the Clay Bar process again which will remove the wax I just took time to apply - and then have to re-do the "wax" once more??!!
