  • white powdery paint like substance on the wheel wells

    hey guys,

Lately I've noticed a white powdery paint like substance on the wheel wells of my car. I thought that it would go away with some hosing down of water. But when I hose it down, it "looks" like it's gone, only to return once the water has dried.

Does anyone know what this is? And the best way to get rid of it? (I've been wiping down dry with paper towels and it seems to "kinda" work....but is there a better way? and what is this stuff??

This is with some paper towel dry

I would try and brush them down with soap and water.

There's a time and place for Dawn, and this might be one.

Yeah, dishsoap. Hand soap wont have a degreaser in it. APC could be good too, who knows.

Simple Green turned my prevous wheelwells white, so I wont be trying it again.
