  • Can these be removed by hand?

I had something kicked up on the side of my car the other day, I went over it with polish on a foam pad by hand and it was able to hide it. But I was wondering if there is any thing that can repair it and if so what process would I take and what products would I use?

Just working by hand, if your fingernail doesn't catch in it, you have a good chance of removing them. Try some UC worked aggressively and follow up with some Ultimate Polish to clean finish it up.

I don't know if you will be able to get them completely out, but you will definitely be able to diminish the appearance. I would go with a few applications of UC on a foam applicator pad, and really rub vigorously. Then finish up with some ultimate polish if the UC didn't blend in. I've finished down UC by hand on some similar scratches on my grandmas car that didn't need anything after the UC. I just removed all the excess with some quick detailer.
