This car belongs to a new client who found me locally. It was recently purchased from a Ford dealership used, with less than 30k miles.
The problem was the entire finish felt very rough like sandpaper, all of the plastic, chrome, & glass was coated in overspray as well. The horizontal surfaces as well as the right side of the vehicle were coated the worst.
After the overspray was removed we decided to get the car protected for this upcoming winter.
I estimated 4.5 hrs from start to finish, ended up taking close to six.
Before:
Pressure Wash.
Tires/wheels cleaned with PP 1:1 & Wheel Brightener 4:1.
Bugs soaked with 3D Bug & Tar Remover.
Foamed/washed with Hyper-Wash
IronX.
Clay with Meguiars Red Aggresive Clay & ONR.
Re- Wash.
The mild blue clay did nothing but shave off the overspray, I pulled out the red clay and that did the job much faster & much easier. The overspray removal was done during the wash step, inspection & touch ups were performed after the surface was dry & no longer wet. Looked under various light sources and there was no marring from using the aggressive clay either.
During:
The interior was free of dirt and had very little dust.
But the carpet was not properly shampooed and some areas had severe hardness due to cleaning solution & dirt still being present. I was not getting paid to do anything to the interior other than clean the glass & vacumm & wipe it down. But I took some plain hot water and a sponge to extract old dirt/solution and soften & brighten up the carpet. It worked and removed the hardness but the carpet still needs a proper/formal treatment. Took only ten extra minutes.
Back to the exterior.
After all overspray was 100% removed.
HD POXY
All Season Dressing on the tires/wells.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
ONR wash all the jambs.
