Sort of. We've had Quik Wax around for years but it wasn't necessarily the easiest spray wax to use and it would definitely stain trim. As we mention above, this reformulation is a huge leap forward in technology and yields a much nicer user experience - no staining of trim, very easy wipe off, and it works great while drying the car. Obviously you don't want huge amounts of water on the paint when using it this way, so taking the nozzle off the hose and sheeting the water for a final rinse before drying is highly recommended. But then again, we should all be doing this when drying a car anyway.

Price is a major consideration for a lot of people and all they want is an easy to use spray wax, nothing more. This gives that segment of our audience a product they can use with ease and still get excellent results. Real Car Crazy people, like detailing forum members, may want something more and UQW addresses that desire for a more robust product.

Actually, I find it safe and more joy to keep a product family together and use Ultimate's with Ultimate's, Gold's with Gold's. So it's always nice to have the red bottle range complete.

Thanks for that feedback! You're not the only one who feels this way, which is why we have rounded out the GoldClass line with the D and spray wax under that sub brand too.

Can the spray waxes be used instead of your liquid cleaner wax for a daily driver? Will it last as long and provide the same ease of keeping bird droppings, tree sap, bugs and dirt from sticking to paint or damaging it? Or, is the spray wax to be used more as an in-between maintenance? How do I distinguish between the different spray wax products you sell and which is best for silver paint? Thank you.

As you suspect, the spray waxes really are more of a maintenance type product rather than a substitute for a proper liquid or paste wax. They're great for increasing the gloss and boosting the protection a bit immediately following a full wash & dry between proper wax applications.

Choosing one over the others will come down to a few personal criteria, really. Cost is one, obviously, while appearance is the other significant difference. But that one gets a bit tricky because we don't all consider the same look to be "the best". All three, Quik Wax, Gold Class Premium Quick Wax, and Ultimate Quik Wax are very easy to use and none will stain trim, plus all three can be used while drying the car - so that's no help! But Ultimate is the only one with hydrophobic polymers that create that really crazy water beading/repelling, Gold Class will do more to darken darker colors, and QW will just give you a bit more gloss and protection. With all the talk about Gold Class darkening darker colors, we've heard from plenty of folks who love it on silver, while others prefer the crisper look of Ultimate. See what we mean about this being a personal choice?

We can suggest, however, that if you're a fan of our synthetic waxes like Ultimate Wax and NXT Tech Wax 2.0 that you might want to stick with UQW, whereas if you're a big carnauba fan and love Gold Class or M26, Gold Class Premium Quik Wax may be a better choice for you.

The usage for this new stuff sounds a lot like Synthetic X-press Spray wax (although D156 is probably closer to UQW in durabilty I would guess). But the ability to wax as you dry is a huge plus. I use D156 on customers' cars who just want a quick wash and light protectant. It saves me time reducing cost for them So, for the weekend warrior who just likes to keep their car nice this is probably the best way to go. Ease of use married with great results.

Quick question. Does this contain "petroleum distillates"?

I am asking this question because I have a two-layer laminated wrap on my car. The first layer is KPMF Satin Car Wrap Film laminated to a second layer of 3M 8518 Overlaminate Gloss to add a layer of gloss and protection.

A friend of mine who has Expel on his car say that you should never put a product containing "petroleum distillates" (e.g. Meguiar's Cleaner Wax, Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax - Recommended by the Meguiar's Help Line for a Wrap) on a wrapped surface or at least Expel. He says that if you put "petroleum distillates" on a wrapped surface it will result in the wrap or at least Expel "yellowing" over time.

Since I just spent what is a lot of money for me to have this done to my vehicle to have a color I like and a protected surface, I don't want have the surface over "yellowing" over time. My friend who does use Meguiar's products (M205 & M26) for his painted surfaces, uses CarPro Reload (an SI02 product like HCW) after washing and for daily care a California Duster and Ultimate Quick Detailer (Whatever happened to M135).

Before reading what my friend wrote, I put Ultimate Liquid Wax and Cleaner Wax on small areas of my car's wrapped surface. Can I use Ultimate Quick Wax or Wash and Wax Anywhere to "remove" the Ultimate Liquid Wax and Cleaner Wax I put on small areas of my car's wrapped surface?

I am not seeing anything about Petroleum Distillates for our A16 Quik Wax.
