  • a strange one perhaps

Ok Gang on my instrument cluster lens there is a some sort of silicone stuck to it. The reason i think it might be a silicone is that is has a rubbery texture to it. Any ideas on how to attack this without destroying the lens? A fingernail will not pop it loose from the lens.

I'll look into the goo gone and plastic razor blades. I've heard of plastic razor blades but never seen them. Where would I find them?

I figure any hardware store would sell plastic razor blades?

Try you local ACE harware for the Goo-Gone. At least my local Ace has it.

Also, take a look for a citrus based caulk remover, last year (or the year before) I needed to remove the shower doors...stuff was FANTASTIC (no that is not the brand)! Again, I found it at Ace.

I have to give a BIG Thank you to all of you. The Goo gone worked perfectly . I just applied it with a foam and terrycloth apllicator and let the stuff melt off. No harm was done to the lens at all.

                Thanks Again!!!
