Brainstorming

For past few months I have been noticing that there are less and less active members. Most online members I see is under 20 (Not counting few hundred Bots) is there a reason for this. Need something to grab some interest or contests or something?Any suggestions? This is about 3 rd time I brought this subject up and all I get is some excuses like last one "SEMA show is going on" Well show is over so let's get some interest here. Shame to see a great site like this sit idle.

We love your passion, Mark! Sometimes there's just a bit of ebb and flow with forums; they pick up, they slow down and the cycle goes on. MOL is maybe a bit challenged because we're a manufacturers forum and maybe not as broad reaching as some other sites. There's no doubt that you'll get the best possible information regarding Meguiar's products here rather than someplace else, but we obviously can't be experts on every single competing line out there.

But you brought up the idea of a contest, and you might recall that last year we held an 8 week giveaway of our new products for 2011. Well, we'll be doing the same thing with our new 2012 products very soon and everyone will have a chance to win a nice bundle of new stuff!

Thanks Mike,,I am also trying to look at long term interest and I hope that it will come as soon as members get to try out new products.

I really wish that participants will join the forum because they love Meguiar's products (like we all do!!!) or if they have some questions about it or need help in using Meguiar's products. Not just because they can win something.

Now if we can automatically convert these guests to become members... Hmmmmmm

That would be a big problem,,there might be few guests but I bet 0ver 90% are Bots, Google spiders. When you post something in no time you will also find that post on "GOOGLE" that's because google spiders get info and post it there.
