No problem at all Mike!!! Thank you so much for providing the info for everyone.

I went to one of the stores specified in your list last week and it wasn't there yet. Maybe they're starting to stock the new products.

Even if I already have most of these products, I'm still excited to go check them out... Sigh I need help LOL!

This is NICE!! I live fairly close to Mountain View, CA... might drive by to check it out.

IMO, it would be nice to have the 8oz samplers too. Most people coming to wal-mart are not pro detailers. The average joe is more likely to swoop the 8oz than 32oz bottles. Ofcourse, the average joe's coming to Wal-mart are also likely to pick a $5 no-name brand over the more expensive (and better) Meguiar's product.

I stopped by one Walmart listed and I only saw M205, D300 and D301. I was surprised to see a few products and not all of them. Especially the MF pads... It's a system so if they're going to display the MF system liquids, they need to display the pads as well.

Mike, thanks for posting the list of stores. None of the stores are near me, but I think selling Mirror glaze/SMAT products in Wal Mart is a great idea. The list give us the opportunity to recommend a local, convenient, friendly and familiar place to purchase a product which maybe recommended on a car enthusiast forum. Also this feeds many people need for instant gratification and helps people work on the motivation to get the job done. As some local PBE or Auto supply houses do not sell to the general public, are not open 24 hours a day, usually deal in cash or check sales only and can be less than inviting to the average Joe.

Are the products in the regular car care aisle or in the auto paint aisle?

Not that you can probably go into specifics, but who selected the stores Megs or Wally and which products?

            Sorry for straying off topic.

I agree the the average Joe is looking for bargain/economically priced product, not a $35 wax. This is probably why we do not see other product lines Wally World has made attempts to sell in recent years to change or re-position their image. The one thing I see the most in stores is is non-detail orientated people with a baffled looks on there face standing in the aisle. Because they do not know what a product does do to different term/name for same type of product or which product will best fit their needs, work the easiest and fastest. I try to help some people make the decided on a better product. So I agree a small size bottle would be ideal for this situation and price point.

I've only seen the regular over the counter products found in most WalMart's but it looks like I'll have to pay closer attention....

Not so crazy. Meguiars repackaged M105/205 a couple of years back in 8 0z black bottles to make it more retail friendly.

The products should be in the regular car care aisle. As to how the products and stores were selected, I'm sure we made strong recommendations for products and most likely not all suggestions were taken (which is completely normal) but the folks at WalMart most likely chose the specific stores based on a whole range of criteria. I'm not directly involved in those discussions, though.

Yup, I could probably convince some people to try a $10 Megs product over a $4-5 no-name product... but at $25, its really difficult to convince someone with no knowledge on detailing to buy a product - even if it is 4x quantity. Ofcourse, I have not done any extensive market research like Megs/Walmart probably did, so I may be wrong.

One wierd thing, IMO is that the stores carry the 5" pads, but not the matching backing plates.. Why so?

Our W67DA Backing Plate for the 5'' D/A Microfiber Discs is actually one of the professional products that is carried in this offering at Walmart. We apologize your local store did not have the item. I will make note of the trouble finding the product.

Is there potential for this list to expand to other products as well? This product lineup seems to be the bread & butter from Meguiar's as far as paint correction and protection go.
