  • Quik interior detailer cleaner causing fading?

The interior of my RR is light tan I use the QIDC often. Parts of my interior seem to be fading. At first I thought it was just dirty but the more I cleaned it the worse it got. It's not the leather parts. It is the door panels, center console, the painted areas. Could it be the QIDC? Has anyone else had this issue?

We have to say this is highly unusual as QID is incredibly mild. What are you using for an applicator and how are you applying it? Any pictures you can share that might show this fading?

Pictures would help, but QID is so mild and has no heavy cleaners or detegents I cant imagine it being the cause.

Your interior may have had some type of dressing on it, and the continual application of the interior quik detailer may be removing some of that dressing leaving a more matte factory look. But no, that stuff should not cause fading as it is extremely mild, it just doesnt really leave any gloss behind like other dressings.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Thanks yeah at first I just thought it was dirty and used a stronger cleaner which I'm sure made it worse. It looks like the paint is wearing off Im going to try to get that glovebox door re painted.
