  • How much cutting power does UP have?

Is it the same as M205 Mirror Glaze? I'm just wondering which I should use on my truck. It hardly has any swirls. They are so light a camera can't pick them up.

Everything else held constant, UP has less cut than M205. It also has more polishing oils than M205.

UP is derived from M205 but it is not the same thing. As Marc points out, M205 has more cut than UP while UP has more polishing oils. That means M205 can remove more defects, and when used with a polishing pad rather than a finishing pad it can actually quite a few defects. UP, on the other hand, is going to be closer to a pure polish than M205, although not quite literally the same "pure polish" as M07, for example, since UP does have some very, very fine abrasives in it. But since it's so rich in polishing oils, it will have a tendency to conceal some very fine swirls if you don't remove them fully first.

Thanks for the info. I guess for a vehicle that still looks new the UP is a good start.
