How do I add an Avatar?

I have an IMAC, and would like to add an avatar. I would appreciate it if someone could post specific answers on how to insert one. Thank you.

1. Click on the "Forums" tab.
2. Click the "Forum Actions" drop down menu and select "General Settings".
3. On the left side, there will be 3 sections namely My Messages, My Subscriptions and My Settings. We're going to focus on the My Settings section. Click the "Edit Avatar" button under the My profile subsection.
4. There are 2 options for you to upload your avatar. The first option is to provide a link to your picture while the second option is to provide a location in your computer. Once the right option is selected and the location provided, hit "save changes" in the local right hand corner.

You should now have your new avatar.
