Detail Fest 2012 at Autogeek in Stuart, FL was a blast! It was nice to finally check out their facility, meet some MOL members, hang out a bit with Mike Phillips once again, and meet a bunch of very dedicated and talented detailers who are passionate about their craft. Here are a few images from the event.................
Saturday's car show - a very eclectic mix of cars, which is always great to see!
You don't see too many of these any more, but there were two of them here on Saturday; the Merkur XR4Ti/Ford Sierra Cosworth (as designated in the US/as designated in the rest of the world)
We did some demos through out the weekend. Here Jason Rose is explaining the DA Microfiber Correction System.
Yours truly demonstrating the new Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere
Sunday's car show was limited to a local Corvette Club, as well as a Miata Club and a Camaro Club. No bit shock that the Corvette Club had the biggest turnout of the bunch!
Now that's dedication to presentation! Ultimate Black hand applied in the wheel wells!
Uh oh, weather's coming!
Hanging out with Greg (aka greg0303) in the Autogeek studio/garage. We hung out quite a bit over the weekend and had a great time - Greg is a huge help here on MOL and an all around great guy (with a very dry sense of humor, as well!).
Fortunately when the weather did roll in it did so fairly late in the afternoon. But it came in strong, with thunder and lightning and plenty of rain. We started tearing down the rig a bit early because of it, and the whole place just cleared out when the rain really started. The Corvette Club took off when it was obvious we were going to get wet.
It rained so hard for a while that we had to stop tear down and take shelter from the downpour!
All in all a great weekend! The folks at Autogeek put on a heck of an event and we thank them for everything they did to make our participation a success!
