  • Endurance Trigger Spray - Residue on Wheels

I have used Endurance Trigger Spray on the tires of both my cars for three washes now and have noticed that the wheels have a residue on them. The residue doesn't come off easily. I've used Gold Class Cleaner and it hardly makes a difference. I have been able to remove the residue using my fingernail and a micoriber towel, but since the residue is all around the wheel, this isn't the ideal method to remove it.

Any help you fine folks can throw my way would be very helpful.

Any ideas for how to prevent this in the future would be great as well. I never had this issue with NXT Insane Shine Tire Spray. I'm tempted to switch back...

I spray the product onto a Meguiars round foam applicator pad first, then wipe it onto the tyres. I use my finger as a guide when applying close to the rim which helps keep any product off the wheels themselves.

If any residue does accidently appear on the rim, it wipes off easily for me. Just remember to wipe it off before it dries.

Not sure just what product this is - can you clarify please?

Endurance Trigger is water based but it contains some polymers that allow it to bond to the surface of the tire. These same polylmers can make it a bit tenacious if you get it on the wheel and let it dry, but a light application of Ultimate Compound, ScratchX 2.0 or similar should take it right off.

For much better control during application you might want to try the method recommended by Selectchoice, or even spray it onto a tire brush and apply it that way. This is a very popular method, and with a good wide tire brush you can apply a uniform and thin coat very quickly.

I had the same thing happen to me, after a wash I dried them and used good old A12 cleaner wax and it cleard it right up. For putting Endurance on I use the eagle one tire swipes. They seem to workgood.

          Mike,

I apologize for refering to the wrong product. It is the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Sorry for the confusion.

I will try the Ultimate Compound and see how that works.

Thanks eveybody for the advice! I'll let you know how everything works out.
