  • MF Cutting Pad problem

I am having problems with microfiber cutting pads. The results I am getting are great, but the pads seem to fail very quickly. I just finished polishing a Infiniti G35 and had another 2 pads fail. The adhesive that holds the microfiber to the foam pad fails and I am left with what you see in the pics. These pads have been used approximately 2-3 times. I was using a Flex Dual Action buffer on speeds 3-5. I'm assuming that the heat generated during compounding/polishing is causing the adhesive to fail since I never have this problem with the finishing pads.

Any advice on how to avoid this? Is this just the normal amount of use you get with these pads? Thanks

Any pad in general tends to fail if soaked for too long. Water is a universal solvent, especially in regards to adhesives.

it is possible they were not completely dry and the water worked on the adhesive. but like Brian said contact customer service they will take care of you
