  • PC 7424xp for wet sanding?

    Ive heard of auto body shops using da sanders for polishing, can i use my da polisher for wetsanding?

      For true wet sanding we don't really recommend using an electric DA buffer since none of the popular models are rated for wet use and, well, mixing electricity and water is a very bad idea. That said, an electric DA can be used for damp sanding, which is how our Unigrit Sanding & Finishing Discs are designed to be used. It is critical that you use a foam interface pad between the backing plate and abrasive media, and that you use just a spritz or two of plain water for each section you're working on. This is sufficient water for these particular discs, and a small enough amount of water that you should still be very safe when using an electric DA as long as you exercise some common sense while doing so. We recently used this process to correct some severe scratches on a BMW as mentioned in this thread.
