Inside Plastic Panels

What should I do for the inside plastic panels in front of the wheels? Should I use tire-shine products on them?

It happened many times that my car/wheel/tire are nice and clean but from a certain angle, I can see how dirty are these panels.

You mean the wheel wells.

I just give a spray of APC, and agitate a bit with a soft brush.

Something like the All Season Dressing, or other spray dressing would probably do better than a tire shine. The ASD has worked well for me. I spray it in when I feel like it, and have a foam paint brush to spread it around.

I don't have APC, not sure if this is available in canada.

I will just use any household cleaner, like Mr. Clean......

Yes, turning white.
This is why I thought of using tire shine products. I once used a foam tire shine and they came out great.

I probably should have explained more completely, that using the Simple Green turned them white/chalky. Using the APC and All Season Dressing regularly brought them back to being black.

On my current car, I have really only used the APC regularly, and never needed the ASD to keep them black. Just use it on occasion when I feel like it.

So, I just mean to watch out using the regular household cleaners. Better not to damage them at all, than to damage them (turn them white/chalky), and then restore every time.

Besides the tire shine product, I never did apply another porduct to these panels.

What I usually do is to wipe them down with car-wash shampoo when I wash my wheels.

I will look around for APC locally (Toronto).

Car Wash soap isnt bad, just milder.

Any light duty all purpose cleaner should do the trick, or even your car wash solution after you've washed the rest of the car. Either way, pick up a toilet brush and use that to lightly scrub the wheel well liners when cleaning them. Toilet brushes, if you choose the right design, work great because the brush head is usually broad but thin so you can fit between even tight wheel/wheel well gaps, and the handle is long enough to allow for a deep reach into the wells. Let the liners dry, then spray any dressing you like onto them - Hyper Dressing, M40, Natural Shine, whatever you like.
