PC Polishing with the Polish or the Finishing pad?

PC Polishing with the "Polishing" or the "Finishing" pad? What is best to polish with?

I have always used the yellow Meguiars "Polishing" pad for my polishing step and the "Finishing" pad for waxing.

This is correct.

The W-8006 Polishing pad is the workhorse of this industry as it is very versatile. It can be used for cleaning, (removing defects), polishing, and applying wax. It just depends upon what you're looking for.

The W-9006 is a for final finishing. This pad is very soft and gentle to the finish and only works well for applying pure polishes and waxes to finishes already in great condition.
