Not sure what you mean? Are you still having trouble? Were you trying to post in a section limited to moderators only?

Tried posting a thread here. It previewed fine, but after posting, it didn't copy the text or pictures. Did the same thing on Autopia, but it worked there. What do you suggest?

Here's the thread on Autopia: http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...sville-ky.html

I'd like to share it here too.

Well, you've obviously able to post since your "Unable to post?" posted. Did you, by any chance, happen to copy and paste a large article from another forum or from a Word document? This new version of the vBulletin software doesn't like special characters imported from other formats and will truncate a message following the first special character. So if your first line is something like "Here's a look at my visit to............" and then a bunch of pictures, text, etc it will truncate the message at the apostrophe in "Here's" and you'll lose all but those first four letters. Yes, it's a royal pain, we know, but it's the vBulletin software, and we're running the latest version (many other forums are still running older, unsupported versions).

Here is the posted David wanted to share, with special characters corrected to display it all. Hope you don't mind us doing this, David, but it is a very cool thread a lot of MOL members will likely get a kick out of seeing.

          ***********************

I wanted to share with everyone a special trip I made to a local homegrown detailing shop called MIRROR GLAZE in Louisville, KY. That's right, that name, eats, breaths and sleeps Meguiars and it should because the owner of this business Paul Knope has been an iconic piece of history to the Meguiar's brand. I must say that it was a real honor and a pleasure to hang out with this industry legend and get his take on all things detailing. Mainly because he's been successfully selling the Meguiar's line since 1950 and boy does he have some stories to tell. I would like to add that Mirror Glaze doesn't offer their products online, only through their storefront and after 60 years they have cemented themselves into the hearts of local detailers, car wash owners, dealerships and car care enthusiasts in their immediate area. Heck, I'm even told that the local PepBoys even refers people to their store!! Once in the store you will find just about anything Meguiar's sells right down to their new MF buffing system as well as the rest of the product family.

Here are some of the shots I was able to take:

          Outside of the store:

          Inside the store:

Here's the man behind the madness:

His original store back in 1950:

And here his 2nd store back in 1977:

And here’s a shot of the current store back when he 1st relocated there in 1977:

I love brick and mortar stores. I wonder if he redeems pop cans, I'd be run'n outta money. Like a kid in a candy store.

That's awesome - my dream store right there!

Thanks for sharing David & Mike.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
