Curious question about Meguiars car wash shampoos

    Curious question about Meguiars car wash shampoos

    I have a feeling this has been asked before but I thought I'd go ahead and ask just in case it hasn't. Can you use Meguiars car wash shampoos as body wash, hair shampoo or bubble bath? First off is it safe? I know it's not recommended but is it safe to use for those things? I was curious because the stuff smells so darn good I could easily see myself lathering up with Gold Class, NXT or even the Ultimate Carwash!

    Not to mention I have a feeling some of you all have already tried this, please admit it if you have, I would love to see what it was like before I try myself.

      Gotcha. Maybe meguiars should expand into the bodywash, bubble bath and hand soap business.

          Really? What does it smell like? I've never used it before, I can't find many of the Meguiars professional products in my area.

              Yea I like to spray some UQW on me before I go out in the sun for some UV protection and to keep the dust off me.......j/k.......but Meguiars does have good smelling products; UW&W smells really good.

                  I just washed my house with Gold Class car wash and it looks great. It has NEVER crossed my mind to use it as a shampoo.

                    Well, it's probably a lot safer than you might think, but we don't recommend it. Yes, the pH of our washes is as neutral as any other shampoo you might find in the Health & Beauty isle of your local grocery store, drug store, etc but the ingredients we use are, technically, "for industrial use only". Further, since the automotive finish care industry is not regulated by the FDA like the health and beauty industry is, we can't recommend our products for "personal use". If you want to wash your house with Gold Class, that's fine. But we'd rather you stick with appropriate shampoos for yourselves, your family, your pets, etc.
