Ultimate Polish vs Show Car Glaze #7 on new white car

I have been doing the research on the above 2 products, and was hoping to get some feedback/preferences on which one would be best for my car - 2012 Chevrolet Equinox 2LT with Summit White colored paint & clear coat. I will finish off with Ultimate Wax. The car is new (less than 1,000 miles) and the paint is in nearly perfect condition. Just want to add a little extra shine/gloss to the paint. A "wow" factor. Thoughts? Comments? Thanks in advance.

If you are not doing any cleaning step before hand, probably Ult. Polish would be best.

This is my 08 Malibu LTZ that I polished and waxed days after I brought her home, polished with #7 Glaze and waxed with NXT 2.0, came out really nice

On a modern clear coat we'd be inclined to go with Ultimate Polish rather than M07. UP is derived from M205 which utilizes our latest abrasives technology - it's extremely mild but should do a bit more to clean up the finish and add gloss than M07 on a clear coat finish.

But after the UP a wax should be added correct?

Looking at the available waxes the novice gets a headache. UW seems like a logical choice.

If this is true, what is use model for D156? I am suspecting one would use UW say once or twice a year and then use U156 after each wash?

D156 is a spray wax, and as such it's more of a "booster" wax than a substitute for a proper liquid or paste wax. We would still recommend a proper liquid or paste wax be applied 3 or 4 times per year, and a spray wax as a routine maintenance product to enhance gloss on a regular basis.

Re: Ultimate Polish vs Show Car Glaze #7 on new white car

Thanks Michael, As I suspected. My arsenal of detailing products in growing. I'm purging my shelf of all the non-Meg stuff (less my new bottle of 303). I have decided to focus on one brand and, even so, the choices are confusing and endless. While this strategy to focus on Meg may be a mistake I am not a pro and I don't have the time or money to experiment. And I'm sure the results will be fine and much better the the benign neglect my automobiles now receive.

While this is topic for another thread it fits somewhat. I noticed where someone was having issues with D120 and someone else suggested adding a touch of D156. A gallon of D120 seems like a flexible product that can be used in places other than in the garage as a cleaner for the car's windows. A gallon of D156, at first did not seem so practical. But if D156 is something that can be sprayed on after each wash then it starts to make more sense, even for a non-pro. The thought of buying a gallon of D156 just to make the D120 work better was clearly an excess. And I don't know how to measure 'a touch' anyway.

So my plan now is to use UC, UP and UW for the slightly oxidized red paint on my T-100 (and on other cars as well. I have UBlack for the black trim on my Rav4) I plan on applying these with a WaxMaster orbital polisher. Not ideal but spending $200 on a DA, at this point, seems excessive, even for me. My question now is around which bonnet to use for which product. If you could guide me here, I would appreciate it.
