Wow. That is a huge improvment. What is that small air filter connected to?
Great job, that is a nice looking engine.

well I used simple green automotive degreaser and this was the process

        1. the engine was somewhat warm and I rinsed it down with a nice stream of water
        2. then I sprayed on simple green automotive degreaser (already pre dilluted), let that sit for about 30 seconds
        3. then scrubbed with a toothbrush and a couple other brushes to get in the tight spots
        4. rinsed it off
        5. went over and spots I missed the first time
        6. started the car to make sure it still worked hehe
        7. dried the rest with a towel
        8. then dressed the hoses with no touch tire spray. I will use something different here next time..I just had a little of this stuff left so I gave it a shot and it worked pretty good

Great job! Its alway nice to see a clean engine bay when you pop the hood. I like to keep mine clean as well, when you pop the hood people always comment on the shine/lack of dirt.

Get that K&N filter cleaner and clean that cone filter. That filter should be pinkish
