Adding notes to posts? not visible

Is there a way to add notes/comments (only visible when you go to edit) when writing long posts to help when you come back and edit?

Similar to what you can do when using Visual Basic or other programing languages/programs. (lines that do not get ran when the program runs)

nope, that didn't work... that is basic HTML comment

how about another comment?

ok.. so if you put in:

[COLOR=#DEE3D7] this is my comment[/COLOR] 

(I had to do the php thing so you could see the text...)

the comment will not be regularly visable... the text is still there, but the same color as the background so it's "hidden"... not the best solution, but might help a little
