How about something that you can spray on the panels while you're buffing that will prevent the compound/polish from 'flashing'/drying too fast?
The biggest problem that I'm having learning the rotary is the lack of enough buffng time without using a ton of product and gumming things up. Now if there was something I could spray on while I was buffing that would slow down the drying of the polish.....
