Does this mean that the heavy duty headlight restoration kit is now discontinued?
I ask because this seems to offer all of what the heavy duty kit offered.

No, the HD Kit is still available. This kit takes our previous One Step Kit and adds smaller sanding pads without the ergonomic hand tool to hold them. The abrasive media here doesn't start out quite as aggressive as that of the HD Kit either. We've swapped out the towel that used to come with this kit for the new abrasive media, and kept the price the same. It seem some folks found just the wool pad and PlastX to be not quite enough, so adding these abrasive pads as sort of a "just in case" backup was done to address that issue.

That makes sense, thanks for the clarification.
Btw, your heavy duty headlight restoration kit will be getting another workout sometime this week hopefully.
I haven't reapplied the headlight to my father's escape and the headlights have began to yellow again. He drives many miles (30k a year or more), so your kit has really been put to the test and has worked very well so far.
Will update when I get the chance to restore his headlights again.

I just bought this tool the other day and used it today. It took a couple applications but it did a great job. Gonna hit some of the spots I missed and apply some of Meguiars headlight protectant on them.

What is the best product to get rid of swirls marks for the headlight? I noticed after removing the cloudiness for the head with the kit there's these fine little marks on it.

is it better to use plastx or ultimate compound on headlights?

                thanks
