  • M06 vs. D151, single step...

I assume (probably a bad thing) that D151 is 'better' at removing defects, RDS, and swirl from paint... more than M#06 could do?

I'm looking for a one-step product for Joe Schmoe who is holding his wallet tight.

Pros vs. Cons.- I could be missing something here. Please chime in, if so.

    Thank you,
    -Dellinger

Yeah, D151 is the strongest one.

I seem to see #66 mentioned more than #6 as well, but havent used them.

D151 is awesome in all aspects except durability. Need to let it dry to a haze before removal and might want to top it with a spray wax, spray sealant or Megs UPW or ULW.

        X2
Considering it was intended for high production shops, where correction ability, gloss and low material cost are the priorities, it does a great job.
I realize that having to top it with another product for longevity adds to both the material cost and labor time, but I still consider it a bargain at under $40.00 a gallon.

M66 does a great job on minor swirls and much cheaper than D151, picked up a gallon for about $22 on Amazon last yr. (awesome deal!)
I recently picked up a sample size of D151 from ADS...looking forward to comparing the 2 this spring.

                All-in-ones
Aggressiveness Order (if my notes are correct)
                A12 Cleaner Wax = M20
                ColorX = D301
                M06
                M66
                D151

Like them all for their "gentle" cleaning (pad, speed dependent of course) and ease of use.

AIO is what I am after... I've got HD Cut HD Uno and HD Polish for all the 3 step deals.

These are both dedicated compounds with no protection. The original post is comparing two different cleaner waxes so, good as these two compounds are, they don't really fit the needs of this particular user.
