You never know what's going to show up at a TNOG:

This is a Porsche 914/6 - yep, the rarer hot version with the 6 cylinder engine. Great looking little car.

This C4 Corvette is completely original.

Plenty of swirls in the paint on the Vette.

They were quickly removed with UC and a yellow foam polishing pad. We followed up with Ultimate Polish and Gold Class Carnauba Wax.

The 914/6 was in need of some TLC as well.

The paint was pretty soft on the Porsche so it corrected easily enough, but it also hazed a bit. You can see here that the swirls are gone but there is some micromarring present. That cleans up easily with a pass of M205 on a foam finishing pad.

Of course we had to make sure the car was doing things properly.

Demonstrating improper use of the DA on tight radius body curves. Cantilevering the pad like this will cause it to stop rotating.

Keeping the center line of the pad in contact with the curve radius will allow you to maintain pressure and pad spin throughout the process.

Nick gives a lesson in headlight restoration.

Time for the car owner to step up and handle the other side.
