    Another fun TNOG, as always!

What do you do when a car owner wants to learn how to do everything by hand? You teach him how...... starting with clay.

Yikes! This is from just a tiny portion of the hood.

The Ultimate Trio ready for action.

Working by hand is always hard work, so it's nice to have a personal towel valet handy.

It's not perfect (and the image is a bit blurry) but you can definitely see a difference in the "after section" (lower right) versus the "before" (upper left) - less swirls, more clarity, and a deeper shade of red.

Time to let the car owner give it a go, and make sure his technique is properly executed.

After wearing yourself out correcting half the hood, it's nice to see how the other half lives - bring on the G110v2!

Andy (AKA bmrfan) always brings something interesting to TNOG. Of course, that's easy given that he works with cars like this all day long! Lucky guy.

A little headlight restoration demo. Sanding with 1000 grit, then 3000 grit and then buffing out with a DA and 4" foam pads. You can see the clarity on the right side of this lens, which has already been corrected. The left side is being sanded with 1000 grit in this shot.

You can see how bad the lens was on the far left side - that's not just dirt, it's crusty and oxidized. But the corrected areas look like new again.

How's this for paint on a new car? How new? Well, this E-Class Mercedes doesn't even have it's official license plates yet and it's got this sort of issue all over the place.

But it gets worse - swirls, water spots, scratches. This is a new car????

As you might expect, we started by claying, and this E really needed it.

The DA Microfiber Correction System took care of the water spots and swirls fast enough, but left the paint a bit hazy after the compounding step.

A quick follow up with some M205 on a foam finishing pad and the paint is back to what it should be.

Cleaning up headlights still attached to the car.

Always good to see friends helping each other out. If you're going to ride, you should look good while you're at it.

With all this crud under the hood, why is this car suddenly smiling????
