Hey guys, I'm working on a airstream rv. All aluminum. It's recently been polished then driven from California to Tennessee. It has water spots all over it. The customer just wants it washed and then she's putting it in storage. The water spots aren't coming off at all. I've tried vinegar, no luck. Any suggestions?

Re: help with a airstream rv
The spots just stayed on there. I could remove them by using a metal polish, but she didn't want to pay for that. And honestly to polish that whole thing would've about a 2-3 day job. We washed it and dried it and called it a day. I took some pictures with my phone, I'll post them when I get a chance.Dr. Detail: I am the detail genius from the movie "Shine."

A cleaner wax is the choice and not a metal polish.
Next time you see this one or another one do a test spot with a wax and an aluminum polishes. If your towel turns black with the AP then it's bare, but I highly doubt someone stripped the coating off an Air-stream.
And if you wax it and it reacts like paint then the coating is still there.
