Re: drill for Dual Action Power System tool

      Hello and WELCOME TO MOL!!!!!

Well the only real requirement for the DAPS is at least 2500 RPM I think CD's are only 1800 RPM.
Not to say it won't work but you have remember the Clutch and counter weight slows down the power from the drill.
Now slower speed is great for cutting but to slow just won't work.
On Thursday I'm going to be at Meg's and I'm going to try my DeWalt CD and the DAPS.
Your not the only one wondering about using a CD with the DAPS.
So I'll post my results asap.

I bought a Dewalt cordless drill and then the Dual action power system kit. Haven't used it yet on the paint but I did use it with the headlight kit Meguiars sells and it worked great with it.

Ok I tried out the DAPS on my DeWalt cordless drill.
It has 1700 RPMs and it worked fine. But your going to need more then one battery if you want to do more then just a spot.
