3 Inch pads and DA - backing plate?

I have a PCDA model 7335 and would like to use the 3" pads. What backing plate do I need? Anything else needed?

Check out S3BP for 3-4" discs and Pads on DA's.

I use a rotary adator and a rotary 3" bp. This holds up to the pressure you put on the pad.

Since I don't know what an "S3bp" is or where to get it, I guess I am safe. Can anyone at Meguiar's advise me?

if your not a pro then the S3bp will work for you. Mine did last through a lot of jobs.
These are avalible from just about anyone who sells detail supplys, where did you get your PC?

Just get a Lake Country 2-7/8ths" backing plate. Can get it at www.Autoality.com. I agree with Mario, the SB3 plate is not very durable. I have also gone through several of them.

Make sure you get an adapter from 5/8" if you don't get the Meguiar's S3BP.

I am planning on using Meguiar's 3 inch microfiber pads. Do I need another plate and any other hardware?

That's what I got the S3BP for (the MF pads). It has a smaller thread size but comes with multiple adapters and a washer. I also got some 4" foam pads for working on small areas with foam.
