I definitely agree with ya Evan. I had my first ever clay experience about 2 months ago and I couldn't believe that what I thought was clean had so much gunk on it. Claying is a must before starting the detailing regimen.

Take a look......

Here is a process that i use all the time (especially for black).... wash, then clay bar it. Depending on the swirl severity, #105 w/wool pad or red Meguiars pad. Finish with either #80 Speed Glaze or #205 Polish with yellow or black pad, then #21 Synthetic Sealant. Comes out like black glass, i have photos available as well.
