The penultimate TNOG of 2013...... some fun projects and excellent results.
First up is this Dodge Challenger. Looks pretty good here, but..........
..... a closer look reveals swirl marks.....
..... and some straight line scratches.
Having had some experience with the paint on these cars previously, we jumped right in with the DA Microfiber System. Well, that, and the owner actually has this system at home already but was looking for some guidance with it. Still, it would have been our first choice on this car given the state of the paint, and what we know from previous experience. But, and this is very important, our experience with Dodge Challengers does not guarantee that this particular car would respond exactly the same, so we were prepared to go with another product/pad combo if needed.
Here's a half & half shot of our test spot. The swirls were immediately eradicated but some of the deeper straight line scratches needed a second pass.
Here's a direct shot on the corrected spot - nothing but clear, reflective paint.
Time to get the car owner, Sabra, comfortable with the G110v2 buffer and the DAMF System.
Meanwhile, out in the parking lot. What are these guys looking at in the back of William's car?
Apparently it was "bring your dog to TNOG" night!
They weren't the only dogs present this night.... our little buddy Taco was here, too. He's much happier and more friendly when he's out of the car than in it!
Henry, Taco's owner, does a quick clean up on his headlights.
Back in the garage, we finish up the hood of the Challenger.
Sparkling white paint!
Tommy needed a bit of clean up on his motorcycle jacket, so we pulled out the Gold Class Leather & Vinyl Cleaner and a small brush.
Before/After...... so easy with the right product and tools!
More paint correction.
More still.
This is what the paint on the truck shown immediately above looked like before using Ultimate Compound and a yellow foam polishing pad on the G110v2....
.....and this is after that process. Niiiice!!!!
