Pretty slick video; a nice twist on time lapse!

We noticed the last sand paper grit you showed was 1000 grit; was that the last grit you used? If so, you might want to try going with 3000 grit to finish as it's much easier to buff out those sanding marks than the coarser ones. In fact, 3000 grit marks are so easy to buff out that you should be able to do so with your DA, 3" microfiber pads and M105. Or, if you like staying with your rotary, try getting a backing plate for the 4" foam pads and buff out the 3000 grit marks with a foam polishing pad and M105, then finishing with a foam finishing pad and M205 before applying your coating.

Just a thought or two. Obviously we all have our favorite methods, and there's no doubt that yours brought those lenses back to a beautiful crystal clarity. Nicely done!

btw when you were applying Opti lens on the applicator that was waaaayyy too many drops, you only need like 3 or 4 to prime it and then like 1 or 2 drops after that.

Thanks everybody, I think it was my video editing that showed 1000 at the end lol.

I went with 500,800,1000,1500,3000 and then buffed that out. A smaller backing plate and pad would be a nice addition.

Yeah it was my first time applying opti lens lol, i'll cut back a little next time.

I am starting to like those style of time lapse video, I know for project fearless it was a time lapse too, but the camera never moved. I am thinking about getting a tripod and have the photographer move alongside me as I detail.
