  • All my detailing equipment, gone in a few minutes

Been a long time user of Meg's products and picked up everything I thought I "might need". Unfortunately now it's all gone due to a fire along with all my other "hobby" stuff. Hobbies sure do get expensive when you add it all up. Just hope insurance covers most everything.

That's awful! I'm so sorry this happened. Worst time of the year too! If you don't mind me asking; what started the fire?

What dramatic pictures, and what a horrible thing to go through, especially at this time of year. I've had friends and family go through similar catastrophes and it is truly amazing what fire can do. We certainly hope that everyone is OK through this and that no one in your family was injured. Replacing "stuff" is one thing, but people are a different story entirely.

Speaking of replacing "stuff", I'm sure we can find some samples of some your favorite products around here that we can get to you to help replace at least something. Feel free to give me a call tomorrow or Friday if you have a moment to discuss. I understand that you've got an awful lot on your plate right now, but if you find a moment, I'm here from 7:30AM to 4:30PM tomorrow and Friday and then I'm off for a couple of weeks. You can reach me at the number in my signature below.

Romad81, sorry for your loss, but be thankful no loss of life.

Mr. Stoops, thank you for your kindness.
You are so right, fire can leave physical and emotional scars.

You know, I happen to have some stuff I'm not using. If you get the chance to think about it, send me a list of detailing stuff you'll miss and your address and I'll see what I can do. I don't have a huge selection though.
And if there's anything else my family can do to help you get back on your feet, just ask. We'll do what we can.

              So sorry for your loss.
From the pics, it looks like your FD was able to contain the damage. I hope there were no injuries and minimal damage to the actual living quarters. Keep this thread alive. Once things get sorted out for you, I'll be interested in helping to restock your shelves also.

Same offer here, if you need anything. I would love to help a fellow car enthusiast rebuild the collection. It's the least we can do.

Sorry to hear what happened. Hopefully no one got hurt. If someone starts something to help replace some of the stuff you lost. I'd be glad to include things.

My heart goes out to you. Main thing, is everyone okay?

                    Great post Mike (Stoops)!

That's really bad, hopefully the insurance company will take care of everything.

Had a reply for everyone but I timed out and lost it. Have to go to work now but will get back as soon as I can.

                          Again, what caused the fire?

Initial idea was a fridge in the garage however the investigation is still ongoing. I saw where the investigators had pulled all the ash from the area they think the fire started, somewhere within a 4-5 ft. area between the fridge and the electrical panel.

I am glad to see that you have your priorities in order. I would be very bummed out if I lost all my Meg's products too
