  • Foam Pad Question

When using a rotary machine, do Meguiar's flat buffing pads tend to produce less swirls and buffer caused holograms than many of the other highly touted & recommended variable contact / curved edge pads now on the market? It would seem to me that most of the problems caused by rotary machines would be due to these variable contact / curved edge pads and tilting the buffer.....no?

Flat pads make the best sense. No matter what the shape, by the time you press on the head of the buffer hard enough to make the pad and product effective for the task at hand, all pads become flat. Why not just start flat to start with.

Meguiar's introduce the first foam pad to the auto refinishing industry as a dramatic improvement over buffing with wool pads.

Together with Meguiar's diminishing abrasive expertise which Meguiar's pioneered for the automotive industry since first introducing diminishing abrasives in their furniture cleaners in 1901, Meguiar's Wooless Wonder Flat Foam Pad and our diminishing abrasive paint cleaners enabled craftsman to produce truly swirl-free finishes while leaving more paint on the car.
