Had the chance to try the DUB Wheel Cleaner.

Need to know info: I have a BMW and they are known for having tons of brake dust, I'm down with the dust as that is one of the reasons that the car stops so well. Brake dust on calipers and inside of the wheel barrels and I just deal with it. I also have chrome wheels, which I remove 2 times a year to clean the inside of barrels and calipers ( which has not been done yet this year). With that said on to the meat of the post.

As always when using a new to me product, read the instructions! 30 seconds done. Note: do not let product dry on surface, surface should be cool.

    Wheels have not been washed.

spray cleaner on wheel rim, lug bolt, caliper and rotor. Goes on green.

Let product sit for 3 to 5 min. Turns red when done, making sure the cleaner does not dry. Rotors, wheel inside barrels and lug bolt wells.

Spray the area with water, making sure to leave no product on any surface, except the driveway. Product can etch metal not concrete. LOL Then wipe down the rims with a clean dry rag ( one place my microfiber towels will never see) . Pay no mind to the rotors turning orange as rotors do that with just a water rinse and is normal.

Cleaned up the lug wells except where the lug was tighten down.

Did one wheel at a time and was done. Moved the car back into the garage, Got rid of the orange on the rotors by braking and noticed that I had not rinsed as well as I had thought, because, out from behind the center caps there was a tell tail line of red product. Sprayed with water and wiped off. Must have found some brake dust or rust behind the center caps, just something to watch for I guess. The DUB wheel Cleaner did a good job, I really like the fact that the product will not harm brake calipers and rotors and both come really clean as well as the lug wells, (which just washing rarely does not come clean) ( last product used on chrome wheels was not meant to be sprayed on other metals other than chrome )

I liked the way DUB Wheel Cleaner worked and the new areas that can be cleaned at the same time.

Nice review. It's a great product. I still have some left. I also experienced some residue stillcoming from behind the center cap. Some wax or brake dust barrier on the wheels will make it easier to blast that brake dust off the wheel during your next wash.

      Thanks for the review

I wonder if this will strip BDB? I'm assuming it would strip wax/sealant.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Guz, how comparable is this stuff to ironx. The ironx to me looks as ifs it's more potent and effective not to say dub doesn't work, however to me it looks as if the dub would b more of a weekly/monthly cleaner as the ironx the same but would also b more effective at wheels that have never been cleaned in years. I have no experience with either product but have researched ironx extensivly.

I have no experience with ironx but I believe it would be more potent since it is used for paint decontamination. DUB wheel cleaner I would say is on par with products like sonax wheel cleaner.

                Re: DUB Wheel Cleaner

The dub website states it is safe on all wheel, suspension components. But then it also states it is safe on most wheel finishes. It stated chrome clear coated ,etc. however it did not state anodized. I am wondering if this product is truly safe for all suspension , wheel, braking components. I have customers who have anodized caliper and suspension components

                  Re: DUB Wheel Cleaner

Good review, I can't compare it to any competing iron removing products. But, I really like this, easy to use, fast and I can buy it at 4 stores withing 5 miles from me. I was so impressed with this that I'm going to go buy a floor jack and some tools so I can take my rims off and clean the inside and everything with this stuff. I love the price too. I have everything from the DUB Line except the rim wax, and it's all good stuff.

                    Re: DUB Wheel Cleaner

Dub wheel cleaner is good stuff. You can't beat it for the price. By rim wax are you referring to the metal polish? There is no rim wax.
