Meg's Pro Speed M100
Is any one used M100 and MF Finishing Pad, in other forum I seen M100 has been tied with MF finishing pad and DA as a second stage after M105/MF cutting pad. For me it little bit odd to follow M105 with M100/MF FP not M205 with MF FP or M205 with LC crimson pad !!, any ideas? What are the advantages/disadvantages from your experience?.

M100 is a compound as is 105.....
you are correct. The logical step after obtaining sufficient cut from compounding is to follow and polish with 205.
It sounds as if whomever was offering this advice was unfamiliar with the optimal way to use 105 and somehow got it in their mind to use 100 as a stop gap of sorts....
I can say that M100 tends to finish down better than M105 in some cases. But adding a secondary level of compounding for refinement is really only taking off more paint than is necessary.
If 105 or 100 are used correctly then can both finish down to impressive levels that 205 can easily pick up from and leave a stellar finish..

A lot of people like using M105 with the microfiber system as they feel it gives them more cut than D300. The downside is that M105 can be a bit dusty when used with microfiber pads whereas D300 is virtually dust free. M100 is a great alternative to M105 when cutting with microfiber pads as it dusts less and often leaves just as nice a finish - in some cases, nice enough that you could go straight to wax depending on your overall goals. But to use M100 as a follow up to M105 for finish polishing? That sounds a bit odd to us since, as Christopher pointed out, M100 is practically as aggressive as M105. M205 would almost always be the better choice for finish polishing following either of these two compounds. Then again, in some situations (paint, pad and tool dependent) M205 in and of itself can actually provide a lot of cut and still finish out really, really nice.Michael Stoops
