  • Ultimate Interior Detailer

I recently purchased a bottle of Ultimate Interior Detailer at Pep Boys and used it over the weekend in my car's interior. I sprayed the product directly into the surface, used one microfiber towel (Meguiar's Supreme Shine) to spread it and fresh towel (same kind) to wipe off the remaining. The product felt very sticky and greasy to my hand. It also left the same feeling to the interior surface. Quik Interior Detailer does not leave interior like that.

Is it normal or did I get some bad bottle (bad storage, exposure to extreme temperature/moisture, etc) ? Does anybody have an experience with Ultimate Interior Detailer ?

I've never used it, but that doesn't sound right to me.

    I like QID though!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I used it once and I thought it was comparable to QID.

Greg, that doesn't sound right at all. Did you have any other product on the surface prior to using the UQID?

No, there was no coating nor other product on the interior surface. The last interior cleaning was about 10 weeks prior to use of Ultimate Interior Detailer with Quik Interior Detailer. The product (UID) which got on my hands felt greasy and sticky as well. The steering wheel was very sticky after the treatment. I'll try to give it a long shake up and make another approach.

I just used mine for the second time and do not notice any sticky or greasy feeling. It was my first time using it to as I had always used QID too. This suprised me because I thought it was going to be super shinny but it wasn't. I liked it. I just had to be careful to not get it on cloth parts like the A-pilar

How is the scent of Ultimate Interior Detailer compared to Quik Interior Detailer?

Had the same issue ; seems that they use something like a wax for UID. Result a couple of big stains in my dashboard that cannot get rid of
