  • replacing bonnet or using the same bonnet

    I know this is sort of a newbie question but I just bought a new bonnet for my buffer I was wondering if i need to use a different bonnet with the different products.

    That's best practice, yes - unless you can wash them before switching products.

    You're using bonnets, over your foam pads? I trust this is only for wax removal?

      Yeah, are you referring to bonnets to apply products, like with the 8 or 10 inch type buffers?

      Or a MF bonnet for use with a DA type buffer to remove wax?

        Just in case he's referring to different products as compound, polish, or wax, then yes u must use a different bonnet for each one if those product. Also ur buffer we call a wax spreader and that's cuz basically that's all it's good for. U get next to nothing in terms of paint paint correcting. A meguiars da will b ur friend with the soft buff 2.0 pads and then u are set. But u must always use a different pad or bonnet when switching to a different products.
