Can't find ColorX but can find lots of Meguiar's 06
Can't find ColorX but can find lots of Meguiar's 06
Is 06 basically the same as ColorX. Label says it cleans, polishes and waxes. I like to use colorX after claying and then topping it with a good wax, but can't seem to fine ColorX anywhere.
Thanks.
Re: Can't find ColorX but can find lots of Meguiar's 06
Any of our cleaner waxes will provide the triple threat of clean/polish/protect, just in varying degrees. It's a bit interesting that you can't find ColorX but M06 seems to be plentiful where you are. No matter, as it's a great cleaner wax and definitely a notch above the A12 Cleaner Wax in our consumer line. White Wax and Black Wax are also options, with WW having quite a bit more cutting/cleaning ability than BW, but BW having a lot more polish.

Thanks folks. I could probably find ColorX on line but shipping is crazy in most cases. Usually more than half the price of the product. If 06 or Black/White wax is just as good, or better, that is what I will use. Thanks again.

Super Micro Abrasive Technology

The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
What that means is extremely small abrasive particles that are also extremely hard, which gives the great cutting ability, plus they are very uniform in size and shape, which prevents scouring of the paint and creates a highly refined finish. This is the type of abrasive technology we introduced with M86 So1o several years ago, and what made M105 such a game changer in the industry. That we can utilize this technology in a consumer cleaner wax like White Wax and Black Wax is pretty cool, and it allows them (especially White Wax) to do some amazing things.
2012 Jaguar XJL, metallic black, BEFORE:
After a single pass (up and down, side to side, X3) with White Wax that was treated like a compound during application.
Now, if this actually scares you away from White Wax because you're thinking "hey, whoa!! I don't need that much cut all the time!!", remember that this was applied like a compound - speed 5 on a DA with a yellow polishing pad, medium pressure and several slow movements over the paint. If you apply it by hand it won't cut anywhere near that much, and if you apply it with a DA like you would any other wax - speed 3 with a finishing pad, light pressure and one or two quick passes over the paint, it won't cut like this either. But when it need it to, it's kind of a superhero - meek and mild in plain clothes, but a warrior when challenged.
