Does Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax have abrasives?

A google search on the internet says the GCCP have cleaners in it, but it does not say this on Meguiar's product page. From what I understand, cleaners are basically abrasives? I want to be able to wax my car often, but I don't want to slowly errode my paint if it contains abrasives. Can anyone confirm if GCCP wax has cleaners/ abrasives in it?

As far as I know, it has the mildest of cleaners, but not enough to classify it as a cleaner wax (as in Cleaner waxes like ColorX, the original Cleaner Wax, white and black wax). It has polishing oils, hence it is classified as polish wax. Oils are there to add depth.

I agree, GC is not abrasive in the least. You might use the Quick Wax version between regular waxings to boost and cut down on the work, though

Hmm. I thought about topping my ULW with Gold Class carnauba wax. Does it make sense do this?

You can do this with no issues. It's up to you if you choose to top a sealant with a carnauba.

We often read online that both Gold Class and NXT are cleaner waxes, that they contain abrasives, etc. But you know who we never hear that from? Our own chemists who developed these products! These are most definitely NOT cleaner waxes and are totally safe to use as often as you like without fear of clear coat thinning.

Mike - is the same rule could be apply to black wax, to be utilized, as often as I wish? I know black wax has a tiny abrasive to clean the surface but I don't see that to reduce the paint thickness. What is you're advice. Thanks

Hello. I have the Tech Wax 2.0. It's excellent. I would like to ask if i can apply the Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax. If it has cleaning abilitis i guess will remove the Tech Wax 2.0. I don't mind if Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax has or not abrasives. I would like to know if i apply it over the Tech Wax 2.0 will have both layers to my car paint.

you are OK to apply our Gold Class Carnauba Plus over your existing coat of NXT Tech Wax 2.0. Many users will practice this same method, in attempt to try to benefit from the durability from the synthetic NXT, and the wet look gloss from the Gold Class. If you were to ask us, on the topic of obtaining the best gloss, we would say, what is more important is the preparation work on the paint, i.e. compound step if needed, polish, etc., rather than the wax that you use last. We typically will apply two coats of one product. Again, you are still OK to practice this if you would like.

Thank you Nick for your help!! I use claybar, paint cleaner, finish polish before apply NXT Tech Wax 2.0. I am huppy with your post!! I will buy the Gold Class in order to add the wet look gloss. I am impressive from Meguiar's products!!
